Raym is the Cove town healer. He was assigned to this post from the Minoc healer's convent where he studied under master healer Oberus. Raym has one brother that he knows of, Semper. His parents and grandparents were nobility of Britain until a rebellion occurred out of the southern farmlands and the entire family was forced to flee. Raym's parents were killed during the evacuation and his grandparents were forced to relinquish their holdings and exhaust their finances in order to protect Raym and Semper as well as survive the following years. They relocated and claimed refuge at their wood lodge near Yew.

When he was 14, Raym's grandparents spent the last of their savings sending him to study at the healer's convent in Minoc. This was the last he saw of his brother Semper and his grandparents as he has just recently been allowed to leave Minoc.

His teacher, Oberus, has tasked Raym with taking up residency at Cove as a town healer. He specializes in physical elements which includes broken bones, wounds and physique altering.
