(joined us at the barracks)I had missed the start of the Goblin's re-opening festivities. I sent Eve on ahead, she deserved a break for the way she had settled into her new role as Officer Cadet, so i stayed at my desk sorting through the mountains of paperwork.
A while later my concentration was broken by cries and the tell tale clank of sword on shield. As i turned to the door Eve burst in and explained that an orc passing himself off as a goblin had turned nasty in the tavern and was wreaking havoc around the Baronship Household.
I escorted Eve back to the tavern as the cafuffle had died down and got us some drinks. The tavern was indeed packed with folk from all across the lands so we made our way upstairs to find a quiet spot.
We settled in next to the hearth when two scruffy looking drunks from Vesper began to hurl insults at Eve and myself. Hoh! Did they not know we were Grenadiers!? One of the stinkoes got a slap for his troubles, Eve never misses! Hoh! And the other one could hardly string a sentence together due to his stuper.
The tavern was clearing and we made our way outside to be met by the Baron and Commander Shadwell. It seemed that a few more of our
"guests" were getting boisterous after having their fill of ale.
Some Kaldorian wench along with another from Vesper hurled some drunken insult at our Baron and Liege who ordered Officer Cadet Eve to escort them to the cells to sleep off their drunkeness.
Insult the Baon will yer!? From the shadows and without warning two Kaldorian knights knocked Eve to the ground in an attempt to free the drunken wenches. However it was at this point that the Baron, Commander Shadwell, Tyrael and I arrived and we made short work of the attempted rescue.
Cowardly Kaldorian swine! One of the wounded knights managed to scramble away but the other was locked up with what turned out to be his drunken, pregnant wife with the Vesperian wench being detained also.
Har! That'll teach em! They were left to stew in their own juices a while before first Demarian who had joined the scene, Dell then Templar Preceptor Sir Hugo himself interrogated and chastised the prisoners before eventually setting them free.
