A general thread to collect ideas from anyone of what they'd potentially like to see in the Covian Navy!

Dull copper is... well, too dull. I kept getting confused between dull copper and iron (the dragoons). Not enough of a clear cut difference at a glance. In my opinion anyway.

Aye, but Valorite doesn't go with Shadow at all. it's almost the exact opposite. Why not try something totally different? what about like...Dull copper armor with shadow arms?

I might look at possible alternatives, but we did have a command vote on it, and unless it's going to be a massive improvement, changing the squad armor mid way through might be a bit awkward.

I really don't understand the "shadow doesn't go with valorite" argument though. Shadow is dark navy blue. It's not grey, it's certainly not black. It's a dark dark navy blue! Valorite is blue!

I don't see a problem with the uniform.

The Val arms do stand out but so too do the Bronze of the Grenadiers and Iron hued Dragoon arms.

It gives each squad it's own distinctive armour.

It's just new and needs getting used to - in time hopefully the Marine's arms will be as commonplace as the Grenadier's or Dragoon's.

Aye, but Bronze looks good with Shadow. Valorite looks like a sore thumb with shadow. But whatever. Your uniform.

Does the navy have a war cry? If not, and yes i'm aware we are short on salt, but the few we have could use some inspirational chant/song/or call   The Navy is trully something I would love to see grow in cove, we just need numbers so as soon as I'm back im going cross shard recruitin' *nods* gimme 45 days.... should be enough time to get started!

EDIT:

My warcry suggestion: "Ready hooks and to The Watery Deep!"

I thought ready hooks would be good, seeing as you use em to board vessels and lash em together!!  The 'To the Watery Deep' part is in refernece to your enemies as  thats where they are goin' !

Ho! My 2-bits.

Apparently any boats going near Magincia atm get set on fire, sink and destroy the contents of the hold.

a chance for radical change?
im of the opinion that most persons wanting to join armies are already in one so how to attract new blood.
an elite squad perhaps known as the baronnial marines.
a good set and hard training regime with a final tough quest. when passing the quest they are then given the title of marine and awarded a green hat or similar. perhaps the attraction of joining an elite force would drag others in?
it does seem this has been suggested before, so what happened about it?
