*Raiden poured over the Administration Files*

Isn't Tel'var a Junior yet!?

*Blowing off the dust from Marcus's old Watchman's Trials Raiden inked his quill and started on some amendments*

Times are nay what they were... Some more suitable tasks are at hand.

*Raiden whistled to himself as he busily wrote out the new trials*

Watchman Trials: Marcus Tel'Var

Greetings Watchman. In order to receive the Covian Cap you may or may not be aware of the trials Watchmen must complete in order to get promoted. Your tasks are of high standards and of extreme importance and I expect you to complete them well and construct detailed reports of your tasks (Failure to do so will result in a new task).

Needed information is found on the Task Sheets. Good luck!

Greetings Watchman, here is your first task:

A vital escort
Your first task is an escort of an important caravan of goods from Cove to Britain. The journey is long and will require a rest stop along the way. During the rest stop a camp should be set up. During this stop you should: hunt and cook food for your squad, scout the surrounding areas for possible ambush and ensure that the cargo is in tact. The cargo must safely make it to the forge Britain.

I also want you to create a travel log with noted happenings or events that occurred on your trip.

Conditions:
[Contact Amon, Axiana or any other citizen to arrange for the caravan to Britain.
At least 4 other Guardsman/Civilians must attend this task.
You must walk to Britain, how you get back is up to you.
Be creative on when camp is set up. Story telling or some kind of activity might be a good idea.
Map your route for future reference also.

Your second mission:

Bolstering the ranks
If you are to receive your Covian Cap we will need more Recruits to take your place in the lower ranks.

You are to place Covian recruitment banners at dungeons and popular hunting areas throughout the lands.

Conditions:

Place 15 recruitment banners at various dungeons and popular hunting spots throughout the lands.
This task may be completed alone or take a few guards along in case things get nasty
Post a detailed sketch below of the banners your place and their locations.

Your third task:

Righting some Wrongs
Lead an expedition to the dungeon Wrong, slay it's evil inhabitants and make back with their loot.

Conditions:

At least 4 other guardsmen must join you on this mission.
You must return with no less than 15,000 in gold, giving each guardsman attending 1,000gp upon your return to barracks.
Post a detailed sketch below of the action.

Good luck Watchman Marcus Tel'Var. You will need it.

Jack Sinist,
Army Administration

It was late this eve when Mister ShadowHand come walking up. I hear yer Watchman Trial are set for ye. Ye need to get on em as ye have been a Watchman far too long. I considered his words and asked Cor'Vani if he could scribe some poster for me, He looked at me and said it would be an honor to aide ye Ser. While waiting for him to finish I went and gathered all else I needed for placing the Banners about and returned to make sure the posters were well scribed, and they were indeed well scribed as he finished the last one I took them and placed them all in my pack and set out.

The first of my stops as I looking in my magic traveling book was none other than (Destard).

After placeing the banner out and lighting a torch for all to see I looked at the next place in my book Hmm! (Covetous)

The smell of all the Winged Wenchs droppings could be overpowering even from the entrance. Next was (Deceit).

After laying to rest the local orcs there I then place the Banners smiling at what I called revenge. Next on me list was  (Hythloth)

The most foul place where them bloodi Litch live. Next was  (Wrong)

A place I will revisit for another of me Trials. Next is  (Fire dungeon)

Evil Place indeed. Next place on me list be, (Shame)

I could hear the Walking Earth Eleies in thar. Next we have  (Wind)

Surrounded by the Black solans this place mages love to come to visit. But onwards we go to,     (Despise)

Nice place to kill em walking Lizards and the Two headed Giants. Still moving on to (An Elven Place of Deadly Beauty)

The place is as beautiful as a Lass in her wedding gound but deadly as a Litch on the prowl. Moving on to (Harpy Nest)

Filled with the most Winged Wenches ye can immagen but next to (A PLace south of the Harpy Nest filled with Death)

I would nay dare enter any further by me self. Next we have (Caos)

The deadliest place I know. Next we go to (Valor)

Nice place but a tricky one. Last is   (Humility)

I quickly placed the last Banner thinking how easy it all was, and looking forward to receaving my Coveian Cap finally, Me father Demarian would be proud of me for once in his life.

I made me way back to the Barracks heading in to rest from me travels I seen mister ShadowHand and told him that I placed all the Banners out.
I took off me armor. Then layed down to sleep.

Watchman Trials:Lead a Coveian Caravan to Britain Forge

Led By: Watchman: Marcus Tel'var

Attended By:

Burghur: Amon Jarl
Retired Officer: Sir Nicholas
Regular Guardsman: Thomas Sendric
Guardsman Recruit: Ludwik Bloodaxe
Guardsman Recruit: Marvin

Later in the Trip came:

The Captains Wife: Flina Trix
Regular Guardsman: Perrin
The Coveian Wolf: Who I will call Danika just to give her a name

After gathering the men needed for the trip to Britain and filling them in on what it was we were to do we then set out for the long trek to britain.

The trek to Britain could be easily made and quick if it wasn't the fact we had a Caravan to protect. In my eyes a caravan just looks to invite trouble, and who else to protect it? Us Guardsmen of Cove, Thats who.
While on our way to the road to Altmere we layed to rest a few Harpies before reaching it.

The walk was nice for once even though I smelled the trouble we were about to head into. We passed Altmere heading for the cross roads north west of Altmere.

Knocking over an ogre or two and then some rabid rats we made it to the cross roads then headed west towards Britain. I told Amon that we would set up camp once we passed the dreaded swamp, he replyed tiredly okay ser sounds grand. We made it to the swamp then turned north west and stayed cloce to the mountains as to keep from being attacked from all dirrections.

We made it to the other side of the swamp killing a couple of the giant snakes, then headed west where we ran into some brigands who had thoughts of taking the caravan from us, Not this day as we soon layed then to rest. I then told the men that we would use their camp as they no longer needed it. We looked around to only find one morestill in the camp site, and we quickly made short work of him as well.

After making secure the camp some of the brigands friends came along and tried to take the camp back from us with only them falling. A few hours went by and Amon had rested up we then headed out on our trip to be harassed by some bloke on horseback who attacked Amon then ran off. So we thought.

Makeing our way to Britain was nay easy task. Everywhere we looked was possible trouble and trouble we did find, but none the Coveian Army could nay handle. We made it to the Britain Forge and we stayed with Amon to make sure there wasn't any trouble with any of the transaction he was about to make. After he had finished I then dissmissed the men and took the reins of me own packie and made way for the stables.

The route taken by the Caravan is as shown on the maps I was able to provide.

I then made my way home back to Cove and quickly found me bed for a long nights rest.

Righting Some Wrongs

Led By: Watchman: Marcus Tel'var

Attended by

Grenadier Captain: Raiden Morana
Sergeant: Hoagie
Guardsman Recruit: Jeremy Forsyth
Guardsman Recruit: Marvin
Guardsman Recruit: Ludwik Bloodaxe
Guardsman Recruit: Takeamada

After gathering at the Barracks for the Promotion Perade, Captain Morana came up and looked over the men checking that their armors were in order, which some were nay in order, he then pulled out what appeared to be an empty scroll which meant that nay one was getting promoted this eve. He then through it over his showlders off the edge of the roof and told us to get to work that this was a shame, Crying shame. He then handed the line up over to me so I then explained what it was we wer to do. I then had em arm up and line up outside.

From here I told them to meet at the Dungeon Wrong and to line up as they arrived there. A couple of the Recruit had no way of getting there so I let them use me travle book. Upon arriving there me self I was quickly called to defence as some local brigands there tried to take our gold, but with no prevail. The men then lined up and I then told them to listen fer orders and stick close as we didn't want to loose anyone in here.

We then entered the Dungeon to be met by some of them two legged lizards, we took tem down and made our way through the caverns.

One area after another we quickly took them out makeing sure they understand that the Coveian Army is none to mess with. Further in we go the more we met resistance and the more us coveian fought harder and harder.

Deeper and deeper we go leaving the corpses of all who didn't like us being there, and more of them to come as we make our way forth. We could hear nothing but the shouting of the men there as they called out the warning of our pressence as we made our way through the already fallen.

After awhile of bashing them all down here I got the feeling that they now seen what we could do and realized that we are not to be taken likely for now on I then ordered the men to start makeing our way back out. As we started making our way back out some that I would consider hard heads kept trying to keep us from leaving as they were to make us leave, but we did make our way out only to be met by more of the local brigands, only to be slaughtered by the Coveian Army but again.

The men then lined up and I ordered the return to Cove and for them to line up but once more.

BAck at the Barracks, all the gold was placed out to be counted and I then handed out one thousand coins to each man that came to help, with some wanting their shares left for the Coffers. I then thanked the men for the help and then dissmissed them so they could go for a rest.

I then took the rest of the gold up to place it in the coffers with the rest of all the gold.

The gold I earned was also left for the Coffers as the Army needs it more than I. I then returned to Kal's home to get some rest as well before making me report for the last of me trials.
