Stress is one of the biggest killers in the world. Every day, a million people die of stress. Stress can easily be prevented on a daily basis. A lot of people don't know how to get rid of their stress, and so they get more and more would up until they snap and kill someone! Because of this, Junior Scout Kerri gave a talk on how to relax properly.
She started off the talk by asking us what we did for relaxation, and offering a few suggestions of her own, we came up with a good list of ways to unwind after a days work:
- Playing with your children - Hoagie
- Running around naked - Garak
- Reading a book - Kerri
- Having a bath - Kerri
- Killing elves - Dell
Kerri went on to explain the dangers of going on duty stressed, and the negetive impacts that it can have on those around you. She discouraged us from taking our anger out on others, even going so far as to allow Dell to give us an example by trying to crush Garak's head!
We continued to discuss the different methods for some time. When all our ideas had been put forward and discussed, it was time for the talk to come to an end, and so we finished by unwinding the Covian way: A free for all!
