There it was, the first Reward Ribbon of Activity, given to some watchman. Jack muttered, not because a watchman had been given the first ribbon, but rather at the piles of paperwork he had in front of him. As he was about mark the profile of said watchman he blinked slowly and muttered again; "Another trial, another Tel'Var by the look of it. This is getting tedious."

Watchman Trials: Ihiniar Tel'Var

Greetings Watchman, congratulations on your ribbon and your good work; It’s time you proved that you are worthy of the Covian Cap. Let's see if you can do it faster than your kin.

Good luck.

Your first task:

To the Lord's Amusement
It would seem that the child within the Baron was brought to life once again when he found his grand children causing trouble within Cove. The Baron does not however believe that it's beneficial to cause trouble in Cove and demands that he is to be escorted by a small group of elite bodyguards while travelling to Trinsic.

In order to make sure that the Baron isn't rounded up by any Trinsic guard that holds the area you need to create a diversion so that the Baron can cause mischief without being disturbed. Setting the bank on fire, stage a Vesperian invasion, or anything else you might think will be enough.

You will lead the squad of bodyguards, so you will have to find someone else to lead whatever diversion. As long as it's you who plan it out and execute it.

Mission Objectives:
  • Lead a small unit of bodyguards protecting the Baron and his grandsons to Trinsic and wherever else he may wish to go.
  • Construct a Diversion to avoid any trouble from the local guards.
  • Construct a big and well written report on the task.

Conditions:
  • The bodyguard unit may only consist of Grenadiers or Grenadier recruits.
  • The bodyguard unit must consist of at least 2 Grenadier, one of which must be of Senior Rank or above.
  • The diversion may be how big and consist of how many people you wish.
  • The Baron must attend this event, as well as one of his grand children. Both for the best effect and outcome of your trial.

(OOC: You could make some kind of note to the Morning Poste about what happened to make the community aware of our activities. That's optional though.)

Your second task:

Camping Trip
The junior ranks morale is low, and it's all your fault. So, naturally, you are going to do something about it.

You will lead a camping trip to the lost lands and set up a nice spot for day and night activities. There needs to be food, activities of different sorts, all to boost the morale of the army; what sort of activities are up to you.

Mission Objectives:
  • Take the junior ranks to the Lost Lands and set up a camp there for at least two days.
  • Create amusing activities to keep everyone busy and entertained.
  • Create a well written report.

Conditions:
  • You must be accompanied by at least four recruits or watchmen.
  • You may only bring recruits and watchmen.
  • You must stay at the camp for at least two days. (OOC: So going there, setting up a camp and having activities and let people log off there and continue the next day with activities and then return back home to Cove.)
  • One report per camp day must be created. Detailed and well written with sketches.

Your third task:

Discipline
Once you have completed the other two tasks, seek myself out for your final one.

Good Luck Watchman, don't disappoint me.

Leading: Ihiniar Tel'var

Attending:
*Earl Morrel, Recruit
*Kaden, Recruit
*Robert De'val, Recruit
*Salick Laysen, Watchman
*Graem Carcer, Watchman

Objective: To lead four or more recruits, and or watchmen on a two day camping trip into the lost lands, providing games and such for them to enjoy.

DAY ONE

I gathered the line up, the five grimest faces i could have wished for. Standing greeting me with a face of 'This better be worth getting up for'. I quickly briefed them at the moongate, telling them of what lay ahead. At the moongate their mood did not improve, some questioning weather we could go to an inn, and make the report up, needless to say, he was dissapointed with the reply he got! Bloody lazy swines! The briefing was short and sweet, and very to the point, i started the trip how i intended to finish it!

After this, we 'recalled' into Delucia, saving us a weeks trekk. Once at Delucia, i raised their spirits, or tried to. And told them to kiss civilization goodbye! Yet again, the bribery of the recruits trying to persuade me to let them stay in inns was crushed! They have to learn, and learn they shall! Aswell as have fun! Most of the recruits accepted that we were going camping 'cept Earl who persisted with the inn idea.

We looked north, i asked the troops to yell a random direction, and off we went, into the unknown. We found livestock, which we killed then took their supplies, leather, meat, wool. We then found a lake, where we filled out canteens. We then scanned the area, peering around, and decided to walk a walk up the river to see if there was anywhere that we could camp along it's banks.

We then found, what looked the be, the perfect camping spot! A clearing in the trees, with a river running past it, it seemed perfect! But when you tried to hit some wood into the ground it simply gave way! So we gathered our supplies and moves further down river! Dragging logs, leather and meat the moaning commenced, but was soon shouted down by my good self. Bloody people, never had a hard days work in their life. It took some longer than others to realise that i was in charge, but in the end everyone realised.

Further down the river we came across a huge cliff, sheilding us from the bitter winds, and still we had the river with us, this looked like our camp spot, the soil was firmer everything was great. Me and the men soon got down to work, building tents, laying mats, and building fires, and eating our beef that we gathered earlier, stuffing hides with wool for pillows. We sa around chatting for a while, telling stories of past, and fiction! Peoples eyes began to droop, i knew it would be time to settle down soon, but we continued for a while longer with the stories.

After feeding them up, we decided to settle down for the night, so with a full stomach, and comfy beds, we all settled down, and drifted off to sleep.

That concluded day one.

DAY TWO

I was awoken before day break, by the sound of Graem puking into the lake behind our camp, concerned for his health i alked him back to Delucia, and made sure he got safely back to Cove. Possible causes of this illness; Food, 'jungle' fever! My personal bet being on the food. After returning to camp, i managed to catch an hours more sleep before day broke. The sun rising over the cliff, and as it's beams hit my eyes i woke. However, non of the others seemed to be awake. So i took it upon myself to wake them up.

After getting them all awake, i made them do a little bit of excercise, just jogging on the spot to get them wide awake. We then had a light breakfast, of cooked deer meat, and wild mushrooms! And i launched straight into an activity. Unfortunately, Robert, had a bad reaction to the mushrooms, so he lay and watched this activity. I made them come up with a song, about cove, and to sing it to me. Kaden coming up with the best, for lyrics see below.

After the jubilous singing, we moved onto something more competitive, an eating contest! Their eyes lit up, but when i produced a bag of fish steaks, they quickly turned a nice shade a of green. Again due to his dodgey stomach, Robert lay and watched this event too. It started equally, the firs to finish ten fishsteaks, each contestant eating their first, quickly. Earl however fell quickly behind, and Kaden and Salick zoomed ahead, having eaten three by the time Earl had finished his first. Soon after, Earl quit, leaving it between Salick and Kaden, one fish steak left, each. Kaden shoved it in his mouth swallowing seconds before Salick! Kaden winning the grand prize of twenty more fishsteaks. However he had other ideas, and vomited into the lake. I then had to inform them that if the took water from down stream, they would become ill, as they'd fill their canteens with vomit.

Salick couldn't bring himself to vomit, so he became a bit queezy, so he said he'd stay at the camp and look after Robert, while i took the other two on a little walk to kill somethings, to please their murderous obsessions. We found some orcs lurking near a road, and we charged their camp swishing at them furiously, while Earl burnt himself with his backfiring spells.

After this i decided it was time to take them home, they all stunk, and all appeared homesick, so i de-briefed them, and told them that they could go home. I stayed back and watched them all 'recall' home. I stayed and tidied up the camp, and returned the place to as normal as i could.

A huge thanks, to the people that came, and put up with me for two days!

[OOC: A huge ooc thanks to you people aswell, thanks alot Smiley :OOC]
