I'm trying to start a character "Danny Orwens" besides Conan Darkmoon, although I must say it's hard work.  Instead of being the Cool, suave and tough Conan Darkmoon I tried to make him out to be, Conan ended up being viewed by others as a drunken, ugly, fat slob.. What I really want to do is either change everyones opinions about him, or make a character that is actually.. "Loved!"  Grin  Since Danny Orwens is a churchie.. I don't see that happening for him.

Hmm perusing the list of dusty topics that arnt considered criptic!

My RP history goes back abit to Yahoo RP chats.

Marcus Illinius Kobra (Yahoo version) : Started as your typical medieval fantasy alchemist who was abit of a sorceror, then became an adultoror and got into some shit I'm not fond of... then became a vampire whom i played coldly and cruelly them.. THEN he became this guy who had been basically a slave-warrior who HUNTEd vampires in a post-apocalyptic world, whos beloved was bitten by a young vampire he had allowed to live out of some for of compassion, then of course his drunken rage filled downfall. He is now featured (completly diffrently) in a short story I wrote with him.

Marcus kobra: now my BoC military character and main.

Maccen Jepta Korten: Half angel/Vampire, loved by god as he was the son of an arch angel until the time that he slaughtered a number of small children. from that point he was 'fallen" and consumed by vampiric urges and followed by the laughter of small children, his own voice sometimes sounds liek many small children at once. (also an adultor) Is now the brother of Marcus in my short story

Sir Michael Kivon Vanderick: my homosexual character (decided to try it for the RP value... strange thing is i was convincing o.O;; yea he didnt last long as I started to get creeped out.)
Is the teacher and mentor of Marcus and Maccen Sans Homosexuality is my short story.

Dyril Hastore Morvain commoner of BoC, hes on the verge of being ended now as I dont play him and couldnt get into the whole citizen thing, his state now is one of Reverent insanity towads a "god" only he seems to see. the church is his preceived enemy now.

Someday I'll post in scribes trove my short story involving Marcus, Maccen, and Vandrick!!

I also split time between UO and WoW. i play WoW on the weekends at my friends place becasue he and a number of my squadron amtes play it and its a good way for us to gather for BBQ and other sutff as we play, I keep my after work during the week for UO, and if i get net in my baracks I'll play UO when im not at my buddies.  I love UO for RP but WoW for the game of leveling a character. Ok jsut my information and exprecion on what should probably have remained on the back burner forever. sorry... but was compeled to comment.

I have had three good RP chars. First was LaValle Helbrass, some of you might know him. He was Prelate in Knights Templar years ago and after he got thrown out from KT he joined to Dutchy of Trinsic order and was eventualy elder priest. I don't realy play with him anymore sometimes hunt monsters. Second was my drow from Naeloth named Velg'larn quit playing with him when Naeloth was destroyed. Third one is Dalamar, my only BoC char and I won't do alt. Perhaps new char when I get bored to Dal and I kill him... Which won't happen soon Wink

I think alts often ruins the game, if you can't play with all of them. I wouldn't be able to play many chars at same time. Atleast in the same guild. It's good some of us can.

My main char was Seamus in BoC but when he left the guild for a while i started playing my archer in OH and found it to be more fun so now i barely use my main and spend most time on my crappy archer with terrible skill levels.Guess i agree with some of the other statements that its very hard to truely play and develop more than one char unless you have a hell of alot of time or your very good at what you do.

Every character I have is in BoC.  I usually switch when I feel the need to play a different style.

Kurt Alimar: My main character, love to play him and his personality is purely militaristic.  The character was actually my first one ever made, and I brought him over from Atlantic as a lawful-evil character and changed him to a neutral-good character.  This character is the powerhouse over all my other characters.

Regnier: Usually play this character when I feel like being the enemy of all person.  Originally I made him to be a Cultist, then I decided to tune up his personality and make him truely unique.  What I did was kill him and evolved him from a Ghost to Wraith to A Specter that can make itself look human.  I love this character but sometimes I get a little power hungry on him.  His personality is power hungry, insane, and decieving.

Raziel Narlam: Made this character purely to be an Undead.  I didn't think the Undead never did PvM, but then I found out how one sided the guild was and just became purely PvP.  His personality is RP'd as extremely stupid, and extremely violent.

Shardak: Ah.... Well this character is extremely hard to explain.  He was originally UD which I made to kill Grd or BoC that ganked me on Raziel.  When UD became inactive I created a side story which no one heard, and really I got a lot of crap for.  Well anyways he's still Undead but just looks alive, much like Regnier.  RP'd as a lonewolf sort of character, and extremely distant from the other guardsmen.

Markus: Second character I ever made that I also had transfered over from Atlantic.  Rarely play him, but his personality is pretty developed to be slightly ecstatic.  He's not really stupid or insane, just RP'd as extremely impulsive.

Well those are my characters, and I think alot of them are unique.  I just really need to develop Shardaks personality, because I never really intended him to be like this.

Main: Darek Milako: Darek is a young soldier. When put in charge he will be strict but kind about everything. Not a hard head and has a youthful shyness to him. A very proud person and is up for anything. He tries to get along with everybody but some people he finds annoying and will let them know it.
Alt: Stephanie H: My neighbor gave me this character due to she's in Iraq*U.S Army* She told me that Stephanie was a war hungry hot headed Nu'jelm girl. She is very strict but has a dark side. She is against the church and doesn't take to kindly to alot of people. To get on her good side you have to work for it. She likes to be a thug and rob people. That's her dark side. I don't believe my neighbor has made her do anything yet but since Darek is on my "for now" frozen account I will play her more.
Alt: Charlie Brown: Charlie is Darek's cousin and was made for crafting. He's a polite gentleman and is sort've a slave. He is gullable to believe anything and tries to talk with the most proper brittanian he can. Actually being poor he plays off that he is rich and well known. Not much to him. Just needed a crafter.

But I will agree, alt's are hard to have due to the time u must share with each character. Some get more play and the others become a fade to everybody's memory. If you are a strong enough player than having Alts can come easy. But I think they're hard to do.

It wasn't always like that you know.
Besides, a guild kind of becomes what you make it.

Hence overall it's not that good to have alts in the same guild. Personally I have two other chars, not guilded and I'm sure that long time would have to pass if I'll even consider guilding them. As you say - it's close to impossible to well-develop RP of two chars in the same guild. Guards are always so busy on hunts, trainings, cadres and stuff. On the other hand, you must spend lots of time to develop your civ, cause it's even more about RPing that guards. Well, if one has enough time to spend to have alts and make them different and well experienced and developed both RP and in skills, it's okay. If not, I say that it's better to have one char and focus on it's "growth".

It depends on how long you have developed and played ONE character. When that character is a veteran in whatever guild. It's not that hard to create a new one, with all new traits and features.

That's what I did... I brought Kurt over and raised him to Regular and then decided to bring markus over.  Once that got old I made the rest of my characters.  I don't have time for a sixth one as of now.
