Medical Corp Trial: Evan Anno Rettis

So, you want to be in the Medical Corps eh Evan?
Good, Good, of course it'll be no walk in the park by any means, first you must prove you have what it takes...

Task One
Many different medicines can be used to heal your allies, some more unconventional then others. Why, I hear they've even invented one made from the tears of mongbat! You're first task is simple. You are to invent an ointment to be used on burns. Many creatures seem fond of flinging fire, so this'll be invaluable in the field. The ingredients should be gathered from a suitably cool enviroment, so you are to request the assistance of the guardsmen to take you on a trip to the Caverns of Ice (Ice Dungeon)

Conditions:

At least Four Guardsmen must accomany you on your trip to Ice.

At least Four ingredients should be used to mix this ointment.

A full report must be posted in this thread.

Task Two

A medical corp member can't be in the dark when it comes to treating the troops. Find a member of the army with a problem regarding his health and treat him accordingly. Obviously this shouldn't be something life threatening, but it must be of a certain degree of seriousness. A broken nail won't cut it I'm afraid.

Conditions:

You must offer a full course of treatment, including aftercare and explaining how to change the dressing/how to administer the medicine.

A full report must be posted in this thread.

Task three
A bad workman always blames his tools, so they say. But you don't even have any tools as yet! In the field, a full kit shall be vital. Aquire the services of a tinkering citizen to knock you up an 'in the field surgery kit'.
This should include, but not be limited to:

1x Immensly sharp, thin bladed knife

4x Suture kit, for those nasty cuts

500x Bandages of the finest quality

2x Bottles of medicinal alcohol

2x Bedroll

6x Splints, for broken or fractured bones

Conditions:

An order must be placed for these items, to be crafted by a citizen of Cove.

The citizen must be payed fairly for their work. A command member will award shillings.

This is to be the basic kit. Any additional items that you think would be of use in the field, add to the list by all means.

A Report of you recieving the order should be posted in this thread.

Medical Corps task one.

When: 10th March, 08:00pm GMT
Where: Ice dungeon.

Guardsmen in attendance:
Scott Bradbecca - Guardsman Recruit
Aukus - Guardsman Recruit
Auron - Guardsman Recruit
Raiden Morana -  Grenadier Corporal
Pathul Dowell - Guardsman Recruit
Jack Sinist - Regular Guardsman

We set out to find grand ingredients for the first task of Medical Corps.
Setting out towards the dungeon Ice, 6 Guardsmen attended,

We found one of the ingredients i had in mind, as the first encounter we had.

Four vials of Ooze were recovered from the various beasts that we found.

A pitcher of immense smelling Ogre lord Sweat was recovered, due to the fact they were Icicles when i picked them!

A frozen spider carcass was recovered, didn't bleed or anything as it was... frozen...

Also the skin of a large frozen snake were recovered, dunno what to use it for yet!

We also came over a rather diffrent Elemental, it was made of solid ice, so i cut a chunk off from it and added it to the ingredients.

I also educated the Guardsmen in why we gathered the ingredients.

That was a total of Five ingredients, now only thing left was to use my mortar magic!

After hours of mixing and matching i found three possible combinations, one weak, but did the job on smaller wounds. And two of them, immense toxic, but still, they did the job.

First applicant proved difficult to create, mixing the odd frozen rock from the elemental with some Ogre sweat, thickening it with the skin from the snake.
Form: Salve
Effects: A coolant salve, applied directly to the skin where the wound resides.
Side effects: May cause an itch and nausea if inhaled.
Estimated amount needed: Not much was needed to get the desired effect of chill to the wound, one vial can easily grant dozens of wounds medical care.

Second applicant proved very easy to mixture, it contains the toxic intestine waters of the spider, mixed with the ooze.
Form: Liquid
Effects: When brought on a bandage, the bandage becomes frosty and really cold.
Side effects: Contains spider poison, which causes it to be deadly when eaten.
Estimated amount needed: Much like water it only needs to be damped on a bandage, and the bandage in its turn can dampen many more, a very cheap and reliable medicine, but alas very toxic.

Third and last applicant proved to be the most difficult yet, containing the toxins of the spider, the ooze and the elementals frosty rock.
Form: A thick salve.
Effects: It brings a chilly effect through the whole body when applied to the wound, and numbs it. The blood under the wound may freeze so be careful with it.
Side effects: It is highly corroding, only small amounts of it may be used under a very limited time before washed off.
Estimated amount needed: Very very little is needed on each wound, To be fair, almost less than one drop is needed. Therefore its a cheap, but very a dangerous medical instrument.

Combining all five of the ingredients gives a thick fluid which is not good for anything, more than making the local inn hostess throw up. Added mandrake to it, gives a cold, soothing effect to the imbiber, and does not pose a permanent threat to ones health.

I let the local healers test it on various patients with wounds caused by burns, and they praised me for my excellent work with the creation of my salves and ointments.
