Finding the barracks deserted when I awoke for duty this morning, I questioned sergeant Hoagie on the possibility of patrolling solo. He agreed. Here is the short report of my proceedings.
I patrolled the forest to Dungeon Covetous, finding no disturbances larger than a single ogre. Once I arrived at Dungeon Covetous, I considered my patrol wasted effort if I did not go inside - Afterall, what gain had I provided the army so far?
Inside, I found a small coven of harpies and resolved to gather their feathers for the Scout division. They posed little threat to me personally, to my disappointment - But I would caution recruits who've not benefited from the training I have to go against these winged valkyries by themselves.
In total, I gathered 1000 feathers and the sum of 2253 gold coins, to be donated to the Scout division when next I come across a representative thereof.
