Hunt Log 06/22/08

When:  06/22/08, 17:00 GMT

Location:  From Covian Army Barracks to The Guard Outpost at Altmere.

Commanding Officer:  Regular Scout Dalamar
Guardsman in attendance:

-   Sergeant Hoagie
-   Regular Scout Kal Shadowhand
-   Junior Guardsman (G.I.T.) Takeamada (reporting)

Report:

Regular Scout Dalamar sent a call for fellow members of the army to join him on a hunt.  Three of us took up the offer.  He asks the Sergeant if there was any place he would like to hunt?  Sergeant Hoagie told him “its up to you mate!”  And with that we were off to Covetous Dungeon.  The Goal was to gather 15,000 in gold.  I knew this would be no easy task when I had noticed the verbal bantering going on between RS Dalamar and Sgt Hoagie.  It got worse the minute we step in the cave, when only Sgt Hoagie had a torch!  Both scouts didn't have any and I have given mine to Guardsman Recruit a few days ago!  To make matter worse or better depending on how you look at it.  RS Dalamar ordered Sgt to lead the way with his torch and gave me rear guard duty.

So off we went!  Bumping and stumbling as we did.  We made contact with some harpies, because of the lack of light I was unable to get any good drawing of the encounter, but we did well and started racking up the gold.  As we moved along we encountered headless ones and these floating heads with tentacles.  We made quick work of them also!  We then came across a gave site with tombstones.  Sgt Hoagie was trying to read them, but SR Dalamar was standing on the wrong side of the tombstones for the light to be useful, so there was more bantering going on.  After he brought the torch over so the Sergeant could read the names, they talked about who there were with one another.  I guess the Sergeant and SR Dalamar may have known who lay there.  I was to far away watching are rear to see or hear clearly.  We moved out and continued are mission, running into plant like things, we were ordered to slay them, which we did!  Then we exited the cave, ahhh sunlight once a gain.

We then stood at the face of the next cave entry.  Regular Scout Shadowhand went in alone to do a quick recon.  After his return, we all entered and continued are hunt.  We encountered more of the same as before, on one of the bodies I found a torch!  I promptly gave it to RS Dalamar, and with that, Sergeant Hoagie stated “I guess you’ll be taking the lead now?”  By the look the Sergeant gave, I think it was more of an order then a question.  But I guess that was a good thing that the scouts were now in the lead, just a few more steps and Regular Scout Dalamar found traps along the floor and gave warning.
We went on and carefully watching our step.  Regular Scout Shadowhand seem to be taking more and more scouting missions ahead to insure our safety, he is a grand trooper and a professional at his craft.  During one of his sorties he reported strange water critters ahead along with some dreaded giant spiders!  We went forth and showed them the might of the Covian Army, killing several of them!  After a lull in the battle we took a count of what we had, Regular Scout Dalamar said we could pick up the rest on the way out!  Which was fine by us.  So out we started, killing as we went.  In the end we picked up; 50 boards, 1400 feathers, and 14,353 in gold!  Not bad for four under equipped army types!  Just goes to show you, never underestimate the power and drive of the Covian Army!  We can fight anywhere, anytime, under any conditions and come out on top!!!
FOR COVE!!!

Patrolling Cove

Led By:
Hoagie, Sergeant

Attending Guardsmen:
Ludwik Bloodaxe, Watchman
Demarian Tel'var, Senior Guardsman (Kinda...)
Mela, Senior Scout (Kinda...)

Hoagie decided to take me on a patrol of Cove as there was previously nasty creatures causing problems there, Dem and Mela kind of attended, in that they came late, after we had done all the hard work, disappeared again in the middle and appeared again just at the end, something to do with moments but I am not getting involved!

We entered Cove and were about to check the walls when we were attacked by some Shadow Iron elemental, taking us by surprise it took a while to knock it to the ground but we succeeded only to be attacked by another one soon after, dispatching this one to the pits of hell much quicker. We came across some bones which must of been one of our poor citizens having met their doom, shame. We then patrolled to the lighthouse where there were no more creatures to speak of. Dem and Mela then decided to join us at the lighthouse.

We then headed to the healers to check everything was fine, we lost Dem and Mela again but proceeded to come across lots of blood, it seems the healer had been working overtime because we discovered him taking a kip in the corner, seemingly exhausted. We need to step up patrols  think.

We then went back to the centre of Cove and were dismissed.

Cove Town and Household

Attending:

Junior Takeamada, Leading
Watchman Marcus Kobra, Reporting
Watchman Ludwig Bloodaxe, Supporting

I was strolling through town when attacked by one of those shadowy rocks. Upon slaying it I reported in to Junior Takeamada. We then set out to Cove town/ Arriving we found nothing out of the ordinary and proceeded t speak in the orchard. Suddenly we were surrounded. We laid many of them low while ushering the citizenry to safety. Bloodaxe joined us soon after and we smashed the Guardian spawn. We then gave the household a once over. Upon completion we decided that all was secure for now....

Patrol Log 06/27/08

When:  06/27/08, 17:20 GMT

Location:  From Cove to The Guard Outpost at Altmere.

Commanding Officer:  Junior Guardsman Takeamada
Guardsman in attendance:

-   Watchman Marcus Kobra

Report:

After our battle with the dark evil ones, in which both Watchmen performed outstandingly, we moved on to check the town.  I had told the watchman I would do drawings to add to his report because his drawing equipment had been damaged.  But with the number of evil spawn around us I was unable to make any quality drawings that would do his report justice.

I was going to head home after the action in Cove, but having to Watchmen there seem like a good time to conduct a patrol north towards Altmere.  I asked who would like to join me?  Watchman Kobra was delighted to.  Watchman Bloodaxe stated that he would stay behind and keep an eye on thing there just in case they flared up again, and that he would ring the bell if something came up!  I thought this was a smart move, seeing we had just had two attacks in town so far today!  We seem to have very smart watchmen now days.
So Watchmen Kobra and myself headed north.  As we headed along the coast we spotted a massive thing coming from the water.  Knowing it was not the Covian Navy; we attacked and took it down fast.  It was only able to spit fire twice before sinking to the bottom in a pool of blood.  Further north we ran into a harpy who died after a single bolt and whack from our two-man patrol.  The rest of the patrol was uneventful.  We ensured that the Grenadier Hall and Altmere Outpost were safe and secure.  After that we dismissed.  I then found out Watchman Kobra was looking for land in which to build a home.  I told him I knew of a spot and took him there.  Seems like a lot of Covian folks are living in that area northwest of Altmere.  Not a safe place to travel if your Yew, I would say.  We have eyes on the road and sea-lanes.  Cove is safe to live freely.

Patrol Report

Location:
Some place COLD beyond Ice Dungeons.

Attending:
Sergeant Hoagie, Leading
Regular Scout Kal Shadowhand, Supporting
Junior Takeamada, Supporting
Watchman Ludwig, Supporting
Watchman Kobra, Reporting

Notes:

Watchman Ludwig wanted to hit things. So Sarge decided we'd explore beyond Ice Dungeon. Once there we slaughtered some icy fiends until we emerged out a hole on the other end. As we moved through this frozen wasteland, we found that many beasts here were passive, save the pale blue trolls and the enormous bright blue serpents! Oh and the Rabid Walruses, thy are very fierce and will impale a man with their two large fangs! Good for sucking blood no doubt! Almost no loot was to be found and we soon decided the adventure was not worth the time. WE made our way back to the hole we crawled out of and behold! Regular Thomas Sendrich arrived! We made quick way back to the barracks and were promptly dismissed after dividing out the 3800 Crown.

Patrolling Cove

Led By:
Ludwik Bloodaxe, Watchman

Attending Guardsmen:
Marcus Kobra, Watchman

It was quiet so myself and the watchman thought it would be a good idea to take a look at Cove town as there have been many attacks by strange creatures. Sure enough there were creatures hanging around, we took town a dark elemental creature before pressing inside. There was some kind of wisp that we were having troubles with, it injured us slightly but in the end we managed to take it down.

Nothing else of dangour was around so we quickly patrolled around the rest of town and then to the barracks. Everything seemed clear, for now anyway.

A brief patrol around Cove town. The healers was near deserted, though there was a large amount of blood on the floors.

Junior Guardsman Takeamada, Juniors wear cap, told me to come with him for patrol. Watchman Marcus, who seems to like eat a lot, gave with us too. They showed me the Church of Cove and killed innocent man there. The killed man seemed lost his head somewhere. I don't understand mindless killing. After that incidence they showed me the Hospital, Watchman Marcus claimed it to be Torturing halls. From there we went to town park.

I don't know what Junior Guardsman Takeamada had planed, but they took me to see the Orcs. I tried to tell them that I don't know how to use weapons. They just started to discuss then will I live 72 hours or not. Odd people. They told me that the first one would be mine. I fought with great valor and eventually managed to single handily take down three of the orcs. At the barracks group of bandints ambushed us and we took them down.

Well I see you posted your report, but you need to take better notes, your account of what happen is a bit off!!!  You'll get better over time! Marcus and I will talk you about your combat skill, maybe do some one on one so you can "show us" how you did it!!!

Leading:
Dalamar, Regular Scout

Attending:
Baolin, Guardsman Recruit
Marcus Kobra, Watchman
Hoagie, Sergeant

In order to secure our northern borders, Regular Scout Dalamar led us on a patrol. He assigned Baolin the duty of scouting ahead, and we made our way up past Altmere, slaying any ogres and headless ones that we encountered on the way.

We encountered several groups of brigands along the road, and all were quickly dispatched. Finally, we reached the outpost at the crossroads northwest of Cove, and myself, the watchman and the recruit were told to check the inside. Thankfully, it was clear, and so we began the long walk home.

Sergeant took me to patrol see if the lovely town of Cove was peaceful. We looked in to healers house, where was a young lady, with a fine figure I must add, with out clothes. Sergeant Hoagie told me that healers are humans after all. We met some person in town with HUGE black horse and astonishing ego! We managed to run away to safety.

Having a strange and effervescent feeling in my stomasch.

In cover of the dark Watchman Marcus lead Baolin and me on a patrol too Altmere and beyond. Baolin had to learn to new places, will be very useful for him in a future in the army. We reached Takamedas mansion and workshop with ease . At the same time fit baolin to visit the heath to fix their uniform, he is a great man and the uniforms that were in cove was not enough big for his bodyhut. A few detractors was in our way. Ogres! They always try to ambush defenceless people, unfortunately for them, we are not defenceless.

After Baolin sort his things out with Heath my stomach got upset. I had to be quick-ed dismissed, I ran-ed like an bunny on grease in the forest. There i barley got my pants of. The rest I keep for my self. Ehm. Think it must be due to the apples I eat in the memorial park earlier in the evening. they must have been ill or infected. I'll go to the hospital and hope I revcover until tomorrow.  Never eat fallen fruit men! And women.

Go-Hei trying get rid of his illness. Puke everywhere on the floor

When:  07/18/08, 15:40 GMT

Location:  Town of Cove.

Commanding Officer:  Junior Grenadier Takeamada

Guardsman in attendance:
-   Junior Grenadier Falconheart
-   Commoner Wayland

Report:

I was outside the scout barracks when Mr. Wayland approached all beaten and bloody.  JG Faclonheart rendered aid to improve his heath; he was then questioned as to what had happen?  He stated that while heading north near the docks he was attacked by all sorts of foul beast and daemons!  I told them to stay and I would check things out!

Upon my arrival I could see that an evil Vanguard and his troops and spawned in to the fields in the north part of town!  I went back and meet up with JG Falconheart and reported my findings!  Mr. Wayland was concern that he would loose his personal items that were dropped.  I told him not to worry; we would escort him back to pick them up, which we did.  We then sent him off to safety!  As this was taking place we were set upon by a dark elemental.  Which JG Falconheart and I dispatched in a quick manner and a Grenadier swagger!

I then told JG Falconheart to go sound the alarm and I would what I could to keep them from gaining ground!  I was set upon by a Nightmare!  We battled and the dark horse was set back to its maker!  At this point two outlanders arrived and help turn the tide of the fight!  As the outlanders took on a dread horse and another nightmare, I showed the lich what it was like not to be welcomed in Cove!!  With this nasty put to the sword and bow, then to flame!  We turned our attention to the leader.  One of the outlanders fell quickly, Avatar rest his soul!  With the help of the remaining outlander we defeated him and his mount!  The bodies were set alight and we check the town for any signs of the dark horde!  They were all gone!  Once again Cove was safe!

Patrolling The Shire.

Finding no-one at the barracks Estel and I stalked around the shire making sure all was well. With many guards at the games in Vesper it was as well we did as the undead had forced their way out of the graveyard and were roaming free in the woods.

Estel and I took care of them and then took a stroll around the memorial park.

Patrolling The North Road.

After making the woods safe Estel and I patrolled along the northern road towards the portal where we would start our banner laying.

More undead roamed free and ettins and trolls also fell to our bows. Estel is turning into something of a markswoman and my sickness seems to have passed. *coughs*
